TWICE
TWICE is a nine-member South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment through the 2015 reality show Sixteen. The group is composed of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. The name of the group “TWICE” was chosen because it represents the feeling of getting a second chance at success for the members who were previously trainees that failed to debut in other groups. The group debuted on October 20th, 2015 with the mini album The Story Begins and its lead single “Like OOH-AHH”.
TWICE is one of the best-selling K-pop girl groups of all time with over 20 million physical and digital album sales. They are also the most successful girl group on YouTube with over 13 billion views. In 2019, Forbes Korea listed TWICE as the second most powerful celebrity in South Korea.
